COUNSELING ON THE SOCIALIZATION OF THE INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM IN SCHOOLS AND THE BENEFITS OF LEARNING IN DAILY LIFE

Abstract

This outreach aims to provide the public with a deeper understanding of the Independent Curriculum and the benefits of learning in everyday life. The benefit of this activity is to increase public knowledge in Rawapanjang village. The results of this community service counseling: 1) the community understands the Independent Curriculum (pretest: 5%, posttest: 25%), 2) understands the aims of education (pretest: 50%, posttest: 100%), 3) understands the 4Cs (pretest : 25%, posttest: 50%), 4) understand about character education (pretest: 20%, posttest: 80%), 5) understand moral character education (pretest: 25%, posttest: 50%), 6) understand education Pancasila character (pretest: 10%, posttest: 90%), 7) understand the benefits in everyday life (pretest: 50%, posttest: 100%), 8) understand that Physics Education can increase one's knowledge about natural phenomena (pretest: 50%, posttest: 80%), 9) understand that education/school can make life better than people who don't go to school (pretest: 50%, posttest: 95%), 10) agree that it is necessary to conduct outreach so that residents understand and understand the socialization of the Independent Curriculum and the Benefits of Education in everyday life (pretest: 100%, posttest: 100%). Based on the results of interviews and direct observations after counseling, the community was able to access information via Google, the community was able to implement learning at home, and had resistance to changes in education, this was proven by the results of an increase in the N-Gain score of 7.11 based on the pretest and posttest, which was included in High category.
