3D Modeling of Existing Toll Roads with Building Information
Abstract
The Toll roads are an important transportation infrastructure to support access and mobility of goods and services. The availability of toll roads is very important in growing the national economy and as access for each region which has a very positive influence on regional growth. On this occasion, we will discuss the use of building information modeling (BIM) applications with existing road requirements, the location where this research takes place is the results of aerial photography on the KM 46 toll road towards the West Karawang toll exit in Karawang Regency. This research uses point cloud data taken from aerial photography. Point cloud data is made by 3D modeling road alignment and topographic survey data processing, then BIM modeling of design results and analysis is carried out in 3D form, after that combining BIM models in one platform to carry out clash detection (check designs that intersect). Once completed, you can create or display a 3D model of the toll road. The result of this research is a three-dimensional modeling of the existing toll road using point cloud data obtained from aerial photographs, and processed with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) application.
