PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI LAGU DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Abstrak
The purpose of this study is to describe the lyrics of children's songs used in class I SDN Cijantung 03 Pagi Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta in Strengthening Character Education (PPK). The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research method. This research was conducted in class I SDN Cijantung 03 Pagi Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta. The time of this research was conducted from June to December 2019. Data collected were the result of observations, literature study interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that children's song lyrics have an important role in strengthening character education for elementary school students. Of the 10 (ten) songs used for Strengthening Character Education all songs meet 5 (five) main character values, according to the characteristics of the child, easy to sing and easy to memorize. Song lyrics containing religious character values are contained in the lyrics of the song "Throwing Out Trash", "Thank You" and "Before We Eat". Nationalism character values are contained in the lyrics of the song "Throwing Out Trash", "Finger Names" and "I am an Indonesian Child". Independent character values are contained in the lyrics of the song "Throwing Out Trash" and "Before We Eat". The mutual values of the Mutual Cooperation character are contained in the lyrics of the songs "Love Everything", "Mother Piara" and "Mother's Love". Integrity character values are contained in the lyrics of the song "Going to Study" and "Wake Up Morning".
